All about me....

Growing up in the small town of Page, Arizona, I spent most of my time on the baseball diamond, never really taking much interest in the game of golf. All I wanted to do was play ball. I wound up receiving a baseball scholarship to Southern Utah University, a small NCAA Division I program in Cedar, City, Utah. Once my baseball days were behind me (in large part due to my inability to hit the curveball), I had a strong desire to persue other athletic endeavors.  

Having spent most of my life seeing how fast I could run, how high I could jump, and how hard I could throw, playing golf didnt seem like an attractive option - until I saw the ReMax World Long Drive Championships on ESPN. My whole outlook on golf changed from that point forward.

 I was around golf quite a bit growing up - my dad is a lifetime member of the PGA and an accomplished player and  instructor. My brother took after him, playing college golf for the University of Wyoming, and continuing on to play professionally.

With the help of my dad and brother, I took the baseball swing, put it down on a different plane, and started swinging out of my shoes. I entered my first long drive competition in June of 2006, winning it with a 373 yd drive.

Since that first competition, I have been fortunate enough to run more than 400 long drive exhibitions, helping to raise over $250,000 for charities all over the country.

Ball Speed: 200-205 mph typical range (221 highest recorded)

Longest Competitive Drive: 434 yds, ReMax WLDC local qualifier.

Equipment:

As stated in the "Krank Golf" portion of my site, I only use Krank Golf drivers. The Krank Rage just won three of the five ReMax World Long Drive titles and is, without a doubt, the longest, straightest, lowest spin driver in golf.

My current setup is a Krank Rage 6 degree, 47" (2" over standard length), with the Fujikura Diesel LT X flex
